Capital PHP accepts clients of any size and from any industry. Although we specialize in advanced programming, we can create simple, usable designs when necessary. Below are a few examples of our work:
Lucas Industrial
Developed lucasindustrial.com from the ground up using PHP/MySQL and Perl on Apache.
Entire site is database driven with a Perl script to get clean URLs for the product pages.
Used DHTML and JavaScript to create dynamic elements.
Divided entire product line into logical categories and subcategories making them easy to find.
Created a product search functionality that allows users to search by part number or description.
Created custom images and graphics with a professional design.
TheStockBandit.com
Wrote PHP/MySQL to communicate with PayPal, allowing subscription service to be completely automated. Created functionality to prevent multiple free trials. Switched site from basic Apache authentication to custom PHP/MySQL authentication system utilizing sessions. Added email functionality to contact forms. Implemented custom promotional code system to allow special rates for members referred by affiliates. Each code is given a date range in which it is valid. This system was integrated with the PayPal system to allow these new rates. Update: Added real time credit card processing as a payment option and integrated it with current subscription system. Members are now able to update their billing information and subscription term when logged in. Also, added admin features for managing the subscriptions and for sending formatted emails to different categories of members (active, canceled, free trial, etc).
Student Council for Exceptional Children
Designed and developed entire site to meet needs of this organization. The two main goals of the site were to attract new members by allowing them to easily find information about the group and to help current members keep up with meetings and events. These goals were met by creating a bright, simple design paired with a PHP/Oracle backend and elaborate admin features that allow service opportunities, events, meetings, and photos to be added and updated with ease. DHTML was used to keep the pages clean and not overload the user with too much information at once. AJAX was used for an embedded custom calendar.
